Q2 2021 Update: The Numbers Speak for Themselves

The drivers of these trends remain unchanged: low rates, an insufficient supply of homes available for sale, changing work habits. While people have been moving out of Marin and out of California, the exodus has been small in terms of overall numbers (Marin: -1% of residents: CA: -0.46% of residents, source: Marin IJ 5/16/21), and at low and moderate-income levels. Market watchers don’t expect this population loss to affect home prices.
