2020 units sold and median sales prices increased 10% and 12% respectively compared to 2019, an astounding result given that the real estate market was essentially shut down for a month during the peak spring selling season.  

Yes, it’s true:  people really are moving out of urban areas in search of larger houses and more outdoor space.  Home has become the place where we do everything, necessitating his and her home offices, an online classroom for the kids, as well as outdoor space to unwind.   

Purchasing power has increased thanks to extremely low mortgage rates and lower household costs (no commute expenses, no designer office attire, limited options for dining out). Look for these trends to continue during 2021.
